About The Quintin Little Company, Inc.

The Quintin Little Company Inc. is a privately held, family owned, independent oil and gas production and exploration company; operating primarily in Oklahoma and Texas. We strive to operate in a safe and efficient manner while protecting our natural resources as environmental stewards of that with which we have been entrusted.

Quintin Little started his business career as a cotton broker in the 1920’s. His father and grandfather were heavily involved in cotton and agriculture. Cotton was "King" at the time in southern Oklahoma with Ardmore being the largest inland cotton port in the world. Cotton took a heavy toll on the land and the drought of the 1930’s virtually killed the cotton industry in Marshall and Carter counties..

With the oil business on the rise, particularly in Southern Oklahoma, Quintin began buying and selling oil and gas leases. He put together lease blocks all over Texas and Oklahoma and as far away as New York, Mississippi and North Dakota; amassing a large mineral holding which the family still owns. Quintin was instrumental in the discovery of many oil and gas fields, including the Apache, Cumberland, Madill and Tatums fields in Oklahoma and the Sherman and Big Mineral fields in Grayson County, Texas. It was a natural progression that Quintin Little would become an independent oil and gas operator, finding and operating many properties himself.

Jud Little, Quintin’s eldest son, graduated from Culver Military Academy in 1965 and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance and Commerce in 1969. Jud had been closely involved with the business on a part time basis during his high school and college years and on June 1, 1969 joined Quintin in the business. In 1974 Jud Little assumed full control of the business. Today, after more than 78 years, we continue to explore, discover and produce oil and gas properties following the same values established by our founder and his son.
